I have finally given up on the standard Linpus (Fedora 8) installation on my Acer to seek what is out there. This is how I stepped on how to copy a LiveCD installation from an ISO to USB. The method is fairly simple once you have the ISO and the key. First trick was to delete partition 1 on the key then format the root key directly like : mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdb1 then install the package from fedora 8 (Linpus for that matter since I did it from the laptop) : yum install livecd-tools. The second trick was to copy the ISO to the key : livecd-iso-to-disk /dev/live /path/tousbstick. Et voilà!
