I recently discovered (well, today that is 🙂 that there is a blog for Linux Skype which you can discover right here : http://share.skype.com/sites/linux/

As you might have noticed, video made it under MacOS, reason being that it is simpler to support it than under Linux. But from their blog, video is the number one priority right after the rewrite in QT4 (which already started).
